Privacy policy
This sets out what Yogasena Yoga School does with the information you give through https://yogasena.com. It is written to be read rather than to be survived, and it describes what the website actually does rather than what a template says a website might do.
The short version: one form asks for a name, a WhatsApp number and a few details about what you want. It is emailed to the teacher. There is no database, no account, no payment and no marketing list. Ask for it to be deleted and it is deleted.
One gap, stated plainly. The registered legal entity behind these classes and its registered address are not confirmed yet, so this page names Yogasena Yoga School and gives no registration number or GST number. Nothing has been invented to fill the space. Until it is confirmed, the person responsible for everything on this page is the teacher, reachable on +91 82176 67359.

Who this is
Yogasena Yoga School teaches yoga in a hall in MSR Nagar, Bengaluru, and live online to students anywhere. For anything to do with this policy, WhatsApp +91 82176 67359 or email [email protected]. The teacher handles these requests himself.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the school is the Data Fiduciary for the information below and you are the Data Principal.
What the form collects, and why
There is one form on this website. It appears on the free class page, on the contact page and inside some calls to action, but it is the same form and it asks for the same things every time.
- Your name. So the reply is addressed to a person. A first name is enough, and the form says so.
- Your WhatsApp number. Required, because WhatsApp is how the reply comes back and how a class time is arranged. It is normalised into international format before it is sent on.
- In person or online. One of three choices: in person in Bangalore, live online, or either. It decides which timings you are offered.
- How much yoga you have done. Picked from a short list, from never before to practising regularly. It decides which version of a pose you are given on your first morning.
- Anything you type in the message box. Optional and free text, so please put in only what you are comfortable sending. An injury or a city is useful. A full medical history is not needed to get a useful reply.
- Which page you filled it in on. The page name is attached to the enquiry so the teacher knows what you were reading. Nothing is inferred from it and no profile is built.
- The time it arrived. A timestamp, so enquiries can be answered in order. That is the complete list.
There is also a hidden field on the form that people never see and bots reliably fill in. If it comes back filled, the submission is discarded. It collects nothing about you.
If you would rather not use the form at all, message on WhatsApp instead. The form exists for convenience, not because a record is wanted.
What is never asked for
This list matters more than the one above, because most of the risk in giving details to a business is in what it collects that it never needed.
- Any card, UPI or bank detail. This website takes no payment at all.
- Any government identity number. No Aadhaar, no PAN, nothing of that kind.
- Your home address or your date of birth.
- A password, because there is no account to log in to.
- Caste, religion, or any other sensitive category.
The one caveat is the message box, which is free text and is stored exactly as you typed it. Share only what you are comfortable sharing. A useful reply does not need a diagnosis: “my lower back hurts by the afternoon and my doctor said no forward bends” tells the teacher everything he needs.
Where it goes, and how long it is kept
An enquiry is turned into an email and sent to the teacher. It is not written to a database, because this website does not have one. That has a consequence worth stating: your details live in an email inbox, with the security an email inbox has, and nowhere else.
If the mail server is not configured, or the send fails, the form does not pretend otherwise. It tells you that it could not send and points you at WhatsApp. Nothing is quietly logged and lost.
An enquiry that goes nowhere is kept only for as long as it is useful to reply to, then deleted. If you join a class, contact details are kept while you are attending and for a reasonable period afterwards so a question about a fee can be answered. Ask for deletion sooner and it happens.
Cookies and analytics
This site loads one third-party script and no others: Google Analytics 4, through Google Tag Manager’s gtag library. It is loaded only when a measurement ID has been configured for the deployment, so a development machine and a preview build load nothing at all, and it is loaded after the page is interactive so it cannot slow down the first view on a mid-range phone.
What it is used for: which pages are read, which page someone was on before they messaged, and whether a WhatsApp button was tapped. That is how it is decided what to write next. It sets its own cookies to recognise a returning browser.
What it never receives: your name, your phone number, your email address or anything you typed into the message box. There is no advertising network on this site, no social media pixel, no remarketing tag and no tracker that follows you elsewhere.
If you would rather not be counted, every major browser can block it, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Nothing on this site behaves differently if you do.
WhatsApp and email
WhatsApp is the main way of replying, because it is how people here actually prefer to be contacted. Messaging on WhatsApp means your message also passes through WhatsApp’s own systems under their terms, which are outside anyone’s control here. The same is true of the email provider that carries an enquiry.
Payments
There is no payment gateway on this website and no checkout. Fees are paid directly by UPI or bank transfer once you decide to join, so no card is stored, no card is charged, and there is nothing that renews by itself. The fees page publishes every rate and the refund policy sets out how money comes back.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 you may ask for a summary of what is held about you and who it has been shared with, have it corrected or erased, have a grievance addressed, and nominate someone to act for you. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
In practice all of that is one WhatsApp message or one email. You will not be asked to justify it or put through a retention script. If you are not satisfied with how it is handled, the Act gives you the right to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Keeping it safe
Reasonable steps are taken, and very little is held, which is the most effective protection there is. No website can promise perfect security and none will be promised here. If something goes wrong that affects your information, you will be told.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that materially affects how your information is used will be told to current students directly rather than left for you to notice.
Not legal advice
This page describes, in plain English, what this website actually does with your information. It was written by the people who run the classes, not by a lawyer, so it is not legal advice and not a statement of your legal position. A qualified Indian lawyer should review it before it is relied on as a compliance document.
Questions about your details
Where does my enquiry actually go?
Into an email. The form hands your details to a server action which formats them and sends them to the teacher over SMTP. There is no database behind this website, so there is nothing sitting in one. If the mail server is not configured or the send fails, the form tells you plainly that it did not go through and points you at WhatsApp, rather than showing a success message it cannot back up.
Does this site track me?
It loads Google Analytics 4, and only when a measurement ID has been configured for the deployment, so a preview build loads nothing at all. Analytics tells us which pages people read and which page someone was on before they messaged. It sets its own cookies. It never receives your name, your phone number or anything you typed into the form. There is no advertising network, no social media pixel and no remarketing tag on this site.
How do I get my details deleted?
Message +91 82176 67359 on WhatsApp or email [email protected] and ask. The enquiry email is deleted and you are told once it is done. No reason is needed and it will not affect any class you attend.
Will my number be sold or passed to anyone?
No. It is not sold, rented, traded or handed to any other yoga school, lead broker or advertiser. The only people who see an enquiry are the teacher and whoever is helping with enquiries, plus the email provider that necessarily carries the message in the course of delivering it.
Is this page legal advice?
No. It is a plain description, written by the people who run the classes, of what the website actually does with your information. No lawyer has drafted or reviewed it, and a qualified Indian lawyer should review it before it is relied on as a compliance document.
